THE QUICKER CANTON COUNCIL CAN RID ITSELF OF THE LIKES OF "FORMER" MAJORITY LEADER CASAR - THE BETTER!

Don Casar, another personification of political arrogance in Canton government.  He belongs in the administration of Mayor William J. Healy, II.  its folks like these that are driving Canton to ruin.

Get this:

There are stirrings that things are changing for the better in Canton.

Casar leaves on December 31st, there are new councilpersons Joe Cole, Brian Horner, and, on January 01, 2010, newly elected Republican Mark Butterworth.

The reorganization of Council with Dougherty now in charge as the new majority leader is an additional hopeful sign.

Now if Bill Smuckler would step aside, things would really begin to improve.  Shudder to think that this worn-out councilman wants to stay on so he has a platform to run against Mayor Healy in the Democratic primary in 2011.

Smuckler as mayor would not be a significant improvement in the fortunes of Canton.

Smuckler is a key ally of annexation chief Sam "Darth Vader to the Townships" Sliman.  They have this grand plan to save Canton through annexation.  Talk about a bankrupt economic development strategy, that's it.

Think maybe Smuckler will read the political tea leaves and take the Casar exit strategy.

Bye, bye Don!
