SALES TAX SERIES #1 - CONLEY (VOTE NO INCREASED TAXES COMMITTEE) RUBS COMMITTEE'S VICTORY IN COMMISSIONER BOSLEY'S FACE?

The question that comes to mind to the SCPR, after watching/recording the exchange between three members (Conley, Snyder and Marcelli) and Stark County commissioners is this:

Who is running Stark County now?

One impression that hit yours truly is this:  Wow!  Conley et al must be thinking that their committee's smashing victory (64% to 36% - rounded off) was some sort of voter mandate for them to be a de facto or "shadow" Stark County government.

The SCPR recorded the exchange that took place and will be placing short excerpts of nearly all of it over coming days with a running editorial commentary.

Excerpt one focuses on Conley doing an "in-your-face" on Commissioner Todd Bosley.

While the SCPR understands that there were some bitter exchanges between Bosley and the "Vote No" committee, Conley's opening foray against Bosley set the tone for what The Report believes will continue to be an acrimonious relationship.

The "Vote No" group started out as "Stark Citiizens for the Right to Vote Committee.  It became the "Vote No Increased Taxes Committee.  Look for it to become the "Anybody but Todd Bosley Committee" as Stark County moves towards the 2010 elections.

Here is the video of Conley excoriating Bosley.
